Senior Software Engineer (PHP, WordPress)

Avya Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (PHP, WordPress) to join our Noida Office. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring high performance and managing all technical aspects of the CMS and frameworks like PHP, and WordPress.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of plugins/widgets written to comply with the WordPress coding standards
• (with HOOKS concepts).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in building WordPress custom plugins.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in customizing WordPress 3rd party plugins like
• woo-commerce, Event plugins etc.
• In-depth knowledge of complete E-Commerce architecture and systems
• Strong working knowledge of shopping cart development with shipping, and Payment
• Gateway Integration for E-commerce website
• Hands-on experience in Open-source CMS and Framework like WordPress (with
• HOOKS concepts),
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVN.
• Software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

Required Technical Skills:

• Good Experience with PHP
• Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level
• Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions, hooks, filters, etc.
• Knowledge of Customization of themes & plugins
• Must be strong in handling MySQL databases, database design and SQL queries, query
• optimization, etc.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Experience with Bitbucket
• 6-9 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
